Harvard-MIT Program in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology (SHBT)
Chin-Ju received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the National Yang-Ming University (Taiwan) in 2015 and master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the National Taiwan University (Taiwan) in 2017. Next, she continued her research focusing on inner ear gene therapy as a research assistant at the National Taiwan University Hospital (Taiwan) from 2017 to 2020. During that time, her work focused on development of therapies for hereditary hearing loss, especially caused bymutationsin SLC26A4 and GJB2 genes. She is currently a graduate student at the Harvard-MIT Program in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology. Chin-Ju’s primary interest is in development of gene therapy strategies for various gene mutations causing hearing loss. She has joined the Indzhykulian laboratory for her summer rotation.
